Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with your Kirkwood neighbors on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Kirkwood Park. Food trucks open at 5:00 p.m., live music begins at 7:00 p.m., and fireworks light up the sky at dusk. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. (Rain date: Sunday, July 5.)
UPDATE: We are watching the weather closely and will provide information about the status of the Freedom Festival as often as possible on our rain line at 314-433-4313. Check back often for the most up-to-date information.

Plan Your Visit
- Where: Kirkwood Park, 111 South Geyer Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122
- What to bring: Lawn chairs, blankets, refillable water bottles, and cash or cards for food trucks
- Accessibility: Accessible parking and viewing areas are available.
- Pets: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. For their comfort and safety, please consider leaving them at home
- Restrooms and first aid: Available on-site
Traffic and Parking
West Adams Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic from as early as 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. so neighbors can walk safely between viewing areas. Please follow posted detours and the directions of Kirkwood Police.
Protecting the Park
Kirkwood Park’s grass takes a beating in July heat, and tarps left out in the sun can damage the turf for everyone who uses the park afterward.
To protect the field, tarps are not allowed to reserve viewing locations. Any tarps placed before July 4 will be removed.
