Stormwater Ordinance Revision

Town Hall: Tuesday, June 30 | Written feedback open through July 17, 2026

The City of Kirkwood is proposing revisions to its Stormwater Ordinance -- the set of rules that shapes how rainwater is managed across homes, streets, and businesses. A public Town Hall on June 30 will offer residents the chance to learn what's proposed and share their perspective directly with City Council, City leadership, and the staff who work on stormwater every day.

How Public Engagement Works in Kirkwood

Your input is one of several factors City Council considers in any decision -- alongside operational and technical realities, staff and expert recommendations, budget constraints, and applicable law. What you share doesn't always determine the outcome, but it consistently shapes how Council weighs the choices in front of them.

Engagement looks different depending on the project. Some decisions invite open-ended conversation; others ask for input on specific options. In every case, we aim to be clear about what's being asked, what we'll do with what we hear, and how the decision will ultimately be made.
