Business continuity is an ongoing process that ensures that the necessary steps are taken to identify the impact of potential losses, maintain viable recovery strategies, recovery plans, and the continuity of services.  The goal of the business continuity program is to ensure that critical functions essential for the local business to satisfy its missions are sustained, thereby ensuring the survival of the organization.
