City Hall Access Limited to Appointment Only. Community Center Closed. Board & Commission Meetings Postponed. 

In an effort to protect the public and City employees, city hall is accessible by appointment only during regular business hours. Board & Commission Meetings and Municipal Court have been postponed until further notice. Kirkwood Electric & Kirkwood Water will not be doing shut-offs, and late fees for utility payments will be waived. The Community Center (including the ice rink) and Kirkwood Train Station are closed until further notice. Amtrak service has not been suspended.

Residents can obtain a volunteer profile form to join a city board or commission or obtain a records request form at:

The Court clerk can be reached from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 314-822-5854. On Tuesdays they can be reached from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Kirkwood Electric customers can request construction services and services for lighting or tree trimming at Customers also have access to the city-wide outage map there as well.

If selected for interview, pre-interview questions are submitted via video. Human Resources anticipates the utilization of skype interviews for open positions by early April.

Parks & Recreation

Parks & Rec Customers can register for classes or purchase/renew season passes online at or by phone at 314-822-5855 with the front desk from 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Fridays, and 9:00 a.m. – Noon on Saturdays.
