The City of Kirkwood Water Department performs taps, one-inch (1"), one and one-half inch (1 1/2"), and two-inch (2") diameter, for new and replacement water service lines.  The Water Department does not install taps four-inch (4”) diameter and larger, which must be installed by the contractor.  Feel free to view the Kirkwood Water Department’s specifications pertaining to water main and water service line installations.   

The tap fee must be paid, an active water account must be on file, and a service line drawing must be submitted and approved before the tap will be made.  To schedule a tap or obtain tap prices and information, contact the Kirkwood Water Department in person at 212 S. Taylor Ave., or by phone at (314) 984-5936.  Taps are performed as scheduling allows.
