2007 25th Annual Kirkwood/Webster
Turkey Day Run

Course Description: 3 mile and 6 mile courses through scenic Kirkwood and Webster Groves. Course distance marked by St. Louis Track Club. Starting area and finish line located on Argonne Drive, just east of Kirkwood Road.

Entry Fee: Pre-registered, $10, Race Day Registration $20

Race Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2007

Starting Time:  
3 mile race, *7:30 a.m.— 6 mile race, *8:00 a.m.
(subject to change, but will not be earlier)
*This is an earlier start than previous years.

Pre-Race Registration Deadline: 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21.

Packet Pickup: Packets can be picked up during registration hours listed above beginning November 1st. Pre-race packet pickup ends at both sites at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21; please pick up packets at site to which registration was mailed.

Race day registration and packet pickup at starting line area from 6:45 - 7:15 a.m.  at The Farmers Market in Kirkwood,  located at Argonne & Kirkwood Rd

Awards: First 800 registrants will receive a commemorative Kirkwood to Webster Run award. Individual medals for first through third place for both male runners and female runners will be awarded in these categories:
12 & Under 13-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70& Over

Notice to all participants: Be advised that during this event the roadways WILL NOT BE CLOSED to vehicular traffic or pedestrians. Police vehicles on the course serve only to alert uninvolved motorists that extra caution is needed. When available, uniformed personnel will be at major congestion points along the course to assist you. For your safety, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Always keep to the extreme, outside edge of the roadway, as far as possible from the portion used for vehicular traffic. If moving with the flow of traffic, try to remain alert for overtaking vehicles and be prepared to take evasive action.
2. When approaching any intersecting roadway or driveway, be prepared to stop if necessary.
3. Do not cross any intersection, or change from one side of the road to the other, unless you have personally checked to make sure it is clear.
4. No route support is available after 9:00 a.m., so walkers should plan to participate in the 3-mile course.
