  Architectural Review Board Minutes

Minutes of May 19, 2008 – Approved as submitted.

Old Business

Case No.  18-08  105 W. Jefferson Ave – La Dee Da – Lisa Nelson, petitioner.  Jim Roberts Realty, owner.  Petitioner wishes to install three (3) signs:  1 awning sign 6” x 24” total 1 sq. ft., 1 wall sign 12” x 36” total 3 sq. ft. and 1 door window sign 12” x 20” total 1.66 sq. ft.  Total signage 5.66 sq. ft.  Continued from April 21st meeting. B-2 Judith Brauer made motion to continue; Donald Hussman seconded motion. Unanimously approved to continue.

Case No. 21-08 219 S. Kirkwood Rd. – Vespa St. Louis – Stephen Zompa, petitioner. John & Sue Katsoulis, owner.  Petitioner wishes to install one (1) wall sign 6” x 48” Total 2 sq. ft. B-2  Brad Simmons made motion to approved with exception: 1) Remove phone number from front door 2) ARB request to move “open” signs to less obtrusive location. Donald Hussman seconded motion.  Unanimously approved

Case No. 23-08 151 W. Jefferson Ave. – Blush Boutique – Blush Boutique, petitioner. Nancy Wolf, owner  Petitioner wishes to submit awning design plans. B-2  Judith Brauer made motion to continue; Todd Kohlbecker seconded motion. Unanimously approved to continue.

New Business

Case No. 25-08 201 W. Adams Ave. – Kirkwood United Methodist Church – Harold Studt, petitioner. Kirkwood United Methodist Church, owner.  Petitioner wishes to replace existing ground sign 126” x 48” total 42 sq. ft. R-5  Donald Hussman made motion to deny; Judith Brauer seconded motion. Unanimously denied 4-0 Note: Brad Simmons excused from review of this case – conflict of interest.

Downtown Business District – Donna Poe – Brad Simmons made motion to support downtown banners; Donald Hussman seconded. Unanimously approved
