On Tuesday, 11-25-2008, the Kirkwood Police Department assisted representatives from Kirkwood Nipher Middle School, 700 South Kirkwood Road, in their annual Turkey Day Trot.  All middle school children were encouraged to participate as the walk wound around several neighboring side streets of the school campus.  Over 500 children participated in the event.

On Thursday, 11-27-2008, at 1:42 a.m. officers stopped a motorist for speeding in the 1100 block of South Kirkwood Road.  After contacting the driver it was evident that the adult female driver was intoxicated.  She was arrested for the traffic offense and driving under the influence of alcohol.

An adult male was arrested on Friday, 11-28-2008, at a retail business in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road after he was discovered by store security switching UPC labels on different items.  He was arrested for stealing.

Two different residents reported their vehicles were broken into sometime overnight on Friday, 11-29-2008, in the area of Harrison and Way.  Both vehicles sustained damage to the door locks and a stereo was taken from one of the vehicles.

On Saturday, 11-29-2008, a resident in the 1100 block of Ascot Lane reported that unknown persons had taken two credit cards from her vehicle.  While cancelling her credit cards she was informed of a purchase on one of the credit cards that was made at a business in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.  The investigation continues.
