Obtaining
A New Liquor License

Fill
out the liquor license application form and return it to the
Finance Department with the appropriate payment.

You
will need to be fingerprinted by one of the detectives at the
Kirkwood Police Department. The
cost of this procedure is $14.00 and your check should be made
payable to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and given to the
police officer that fingerprints you. To determine the
availability of the detectives, please contact either Ann Clark
at 314-822-5867 or John Folluo at 314-822-5880.

After all of the above paperwork is received, your request will
be presented before the City Council for approval. The City
Council meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of
the month. You are not required to be present at this meeting;
however, you are welcome to attend.

After approval is received from the City Council, your
liquor license will be issued and you will be contacted that it
is ready to be picked up.

After
your City of Kirkwood license is issued, you will need to obtain
your State and County liquor licenses.

Renewing
An Existing Liquor License
- A renewal letter
will be sent out to your business approximately 90 days prior to
the expiration date.
- A copy of this
renewal letter will also be sent to the Kirkwood Police
Department. You will then be visited by one of the officers
who will check to make sure that you have a current State and
County license and that all of the liquor licenses are posted in
plain view for patrons to see.
- The following
paperwork will need to be completed before your liquor license
is approved for renewal

The
city's liquor license ordinance can be found in Chapter 3 of the
city's Code of Ordinances. These ordinances can be viewed
online. Select the gray bar and the top left of your screen
