Obtaining A New Liquor License

  • Fill out the liquor license application form and return it to the Finance Department with the appropriate payment.

  • You will need to be fingerprinted by one of the detectives at the Kirkwood Police Department. The cost of this procedure is $14.00 and your check should be made payable to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and given to the police officer that fingerprints you. To determine the availability of the detectives, please contact either Ann Clark at 314-822-5867 or John Folluo at 314-822-5880.

  • After all of the above paperwork is received, your request will be presented before the City Council for approval. The City Council meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month. You are not required to be present at this meeting; however, you are welcome to attend.

  • After approval is received from the City Council, your liquor license will be issued and you will be contacted that it is ready to be picked up.

  • After your City of Kirkwood license is issued, you will need to obtain your State and County liquor licenses.
