Greentree’s Own Folk-Life Festival

Step back in time to experience life as it was in the 1700s and 1800s here in Missouri. Nestled among the tree canopy of Kirkwood Park, you will find the Folk-Life Festival, a special area of Greentree dedicated to these wonderful artisans.

Dressed in period costume, these artisans bring their crafts to like, by making them before your eyes. See how baskets and blankets were woven by hand, how chairs were created from tree limbs, and how cast iron was forged to create the necessary tools of the day. In addition to artisans selling their wares, you can also experience tastes of the day from the many food vendors who participate in Folk-Life. And don’t forget to visit the Missouri Fiddlers Stage, which hosts a variety of early American musical styles.
