Emmenegger Nature Park-Honeysuckle Removal Event


Join us as we restore biodiversity at Emmenegger Nature Park

through honeysuckle removal. This event also offers training in honeysuckle identification and eradication methods for homeowners and volunteers.

Sunday, October 30 and Sunday November 6: Emmenegger Nature Park, 11991 Stoneywood Drive, St. Louis, MO 63122, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.  Meet at the trail kiosk near the lower parking lot.

What to Expect:

After checking in, a brief orientation is conducted before work begins to learn how to successfully cut down honeysuckle. Volunteers work in groups with experienced volunteers. Beverages and snacks are provided to you throughout the event.

What to Wear:

Dress in long-sleeve shirt, long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.

What to Bring:

Bring work gloves, hand saws, loppers, or your other favorite tool to cut down honeysuckle.  A limited supply of tools and safety equipment will be available for use.

Participants under Age 18:

Minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Parents or guardian must sign consent before the minor's participation.
