Planning & Zoning Commission:
The Commission is made up of nine volunteer residents who serve four-year terms and are appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The Commission is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and making recommendations on zoning matters to the City Council for the following petition types:
- Commercial Site Plan Reviews
- Rezonings
- Special Use Permits
- Subdivision of Property
- Community Unit Plans
- Zoning Code Amendments

Kirkwood Zoning Matters signs are placed along property frontages when there is an active petition prior to the initial agenda date.
