Services:

Safety Town:  The Kirkwood Fire Department partnered with the Magic House in 2016 and 2017 to develop and build the "Kirkwood Safety Town" that opened in September 2017.  This new interactive exhibit was designed to educate the region's youngest residents about safety. It features a child-sized neighborhood with a fire station, police station, electric company, farmers' market, train station, park, and house. Visitors can hop on bikes to travel through the "city," learning important traffic, electric, and water safety skills along the way. It also features a bike helmet-fitting station and scheduled visits from community helpers, such as firefighters and police officers. It will open seasonally at the Magic House for one month each spring and fall through 2021. The exhibit will also travel to fairs, festivals, and other community venues throughout the region.

Toys for Tots: For the past several years during the holiday season, the Kirkwood Fire Department has teamed up with the United States Marines to host a "Stuff the Ambulance" toy drive for the Toys for Tots organization. Visitors can stuff the empty ambulance with new, unwrapped toys, which will be delivered to children throughout the region. The toy drive runs in late November and early December. Visit our Facebook pages for details closer to the holiday season.
