Registration Begins!
Kirkwood,
Missouri -- Thursday, August 09, 2007
– As Kirkwood
emerges from some of the hottest days of the summer, cooling
news comes from the Parks & Recreation Department where
registration is now open for this fall’s ice skating lessons.
The skate school is directed by Gold Medalist Susie Smith.
The Kirkwood Community Center Ice Rink offers a variety of
skating lessons, from the beginner to advanced skater, ages four
and up. Whether your interests like in hockey, figure skating,
or maybe ice dancing, the Kirkwood Ice Rink offers a lesson
program that will advance your skills or perhaps teach you
something new.
Lessons include 20-25 minutes of instruction, half-price skate
rental for lessons, and practice time. Lessons run for eight
weeks Monday through Friday. Fees are $48 for residents and $56
for non-residents.
For more information, log onto the city’s website at
www.ci.kirkwood.mo.us/parks/ or call 314-822-5855.
