The Kirkwood Parks and Recreation Department/Kirkwood Summer Theatre announces auditions for “GREASE”

Kirkwood, Missouri -- Friday, May 04, 2007 – Kirkwood Parks & Recreation invites young people ages 11 and older to come audition for the upcoming summer theatre production of “Grease.” Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Monday, May 21 at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Kirkwood Community Center, 111 South Geyer Road. Those auditioning must be 11 at the time of audition (no exceptions) and should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled audition time. The auditioners should come prepared to sing a song and learn a dance (please bring sheet music or a tape/CD or you may sing acapella) and should also bring a photo that staff can keep. Show dates are July 12-14, 2007 (the rain date will be July 15) and the performances are held at the Lions Amphitheatre in Kirkwood Park. Cast members are required to pay a rehearsal fee- $40 for Kirkwood residents and $55 for non-residents. Please call 314-822-5855 to schedule an audition time or for more information.
