Lottery System This Year To Enroll In
Kirkwood Parks & Recreation’s Annual
“Camp Kirkwood”
Kirkwood,
Missouri -- Wednesday, January 31, 2007 – Registration
for one of the area’s most popular summer day camps just got
easier! Kirkwood Parks & Recreation’s “Camp Kirkwood”
used to require a lottery system to enroll. This year, Kirkwood
residents may pick up general camp information and register at
the Community Center beginning February 20. The summer day camp
takes place at Kirkwood Park and the Community Center and is
open to children ages 6 to 11 in grades Kindergarten through 5th
grade. Camp Kirkwood includes sports, games, crafts, field
trips, swimming, and more!
As with prior years, the camp will be split into two
sessions, one in June and one in July. Both sessions run from 10
a.m. to 3 p.m. The first session is June 11-29 and the second
session is from July 2-20. There is no camp on Independence Day,
July 4.
Fees are $135 for residents in
Session 1 ($165 for non-residents) and $130 for residents in
Session 2 ($160 for non-residents). Space is limited so
interested families are encouraged to sign up right away.
Non-residents may register starting April 3 pending
availability. Detailed information, including camp groups, will
be mailed to each camper’s household prior to the start of
camp. For more information, please call the Kirkwood Parks and
Recreation Department at (314)822-5855.
